PREPARING FOR YOUR ADVENTURE

Cat skiing/boarding is a strenuous endeavor, so you should be as physically fit as you can be. Great Northern Powder Guides is located at a relatively low elevation, which is a very big advantage for your acclimation.

YOU NEED TO BE A COMPETENT ALL MOUNTAIN SKIER/RIDER, RECOGNIZING THAT ALL OF OUR TERRAIN IS UNGROOMED & OFF-PISTE.

SKI/SNOWBOARD SELECTION

We recommend bringing skis that are at least 98mm under foot, preferably with some rocker. Snowboards also need to have rocker in them as this promotes a proper float in the powder.

We offer a full line of powder skis for rent at $40 per day.  We have a limited number of powder snowboards for rent as well, so please let us know in advance if you need to rent one.
