20,000 acres of Prime Backcountry
From mellow glades to steep chutes, discover Montana’s most diverse skiing terrain
Our exclusive lease in the Northern Rocky Mountains of Montana gives us access to a vast white wilderness. With terrain that stretches from rolling meadows and burns, to steep tree runs and features, there’s something for every skier and rider. Whether it’s your first day chasing powder or your hundredth, our guides are pros at finding fun lines. And because a portion of our lease revenue supports Montana’s public schools, your adventure helps give back to the community.
Powder Stats
The Northern Rocky Mountains of Montana averages 350 inches of snowfall each year, delivering the deep, consistent powder that makes GNPG one of Montana’s premier backcountry destinations.
Glades
Flow through perfectly spaced trees with untouched powder stashes. Our glades are ideal for advanced and expert powder skiers and snowboarders.
Pillows & Features
Playful features shaped by Montana’s deep snowpack. Bounce, pop, and drop through natural powder pillows that keep you grinning all day.
Chutes
Tight, steep, and technical. For expert skiers and riders, our chutes deliver adrenaline-pumping descents through the Rockies’ wild terrain
Burns
A cross between a tree run and an open slope, those summer fires leave us with some interesting new runs each winter. It’s an almost surreal skiing experience.
Due to prescribed yearly burns and contracted logging contracts within the Stillwater State Forest, our terrain is always expanding.
Safety & Prep
Every guest receives an avalanche beacon and training before heading into the field. With our experienced guides and daily terrain assessments, you’ll explore Montana’s backcountry safely—and with confidence.
