Safety

Our top priority: safety first, always

At Great Northern Powder Guides, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to providing an unforgettable backcountry experience while minimizing risk through preparation, training, and constant awareness of mountain conditions.

Avalanche Awareness and Training

Avalanche beacon

Every skier and rider is assigned a beacon

Hands-on Training

Quick but thorough instruction in beacon use and avalanche awareness.

We believe that safety is a shared responsibility. Even though the risk of an avalanche is unlikely, giving every guest the knowledge and tools to respond helps create a safer environment for all.
